Public Debate on Inclusion in Kindergartens

On July 7, at Karposh hotel Open the windows held a public debate on the topic: Inclusion and preschool in the Municipality of Karposh.

At the debate participated representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Municipality of Karposh, kindergartens, civic organizations and parents of children with disabilities.

Radmila Stojokvska Aleksova presented the research conducted in May in all kindergartens in the municipality. The findings showed that four percent of the total number of children in the researched kindergartens is children with disabilities. The inclusion is not organized and it largely depends on the motivation and commitment of the kindergarten employees.  At the event, Valentina Nikolovska vey emotionally described how much the preschool support allowed her child with hearing impairment to have a joyful childhood.

The participants in the discussion urged the municipality and other relevant institutions to provide better conditions and trainings for the employees in the kindergartens. They emphasized that they have a strong motivation to work to improve the inclusion in their facilities.
