Presentation of the Political Campaign Programs in front of Persons with Disabilities

On 23 November, Open the Windows at the Porta hotel held two meetings, where six political parties presented their campaign promises to persons with disabilities. The aim of the meetings was persons with disabilities to learn about the activities of the parties in order to support inclusion.

The participants of the first meeting were Ms. Maja Morachanin representative of Democratic Green Party, Mr. Zoran Shapuric representative of the Liberal Democrats and Ms. Dragana Kiprijanovska representative of the Democratic Alliance. At the second meeting, Ms. Maja Saveska representative of VMRO-DPMNE, Ms. Mila Carovska representative of Social Democratic Alliance of Macedonia and Mr. Ermond Miftari, a representative of the Democratic Albanian Party delivered their promises and answered the questions from the audience.

The Representatives of the political parties presented the actions they intend to take if they win the elections. The participants, mostly people with disabilities and their parents, spoke about their challenges and strongly encouraged the representatives to resolve the issue of health care, inclusion in education and provision of quality services that will allow them to better inclusion in society.

In the upcoming period, the association will prepare an analysis of political programs and it will issue a document that will disclose all campaign promises in the field of disabilities.
